Topic: SpamAssassin was not updated

I recently upgraded my Spam-assassin to the latest version using Knudsen's install script (which is great!).  I was getting this message with the older version of Spam Assassin and thought an upgrade was due. I still get the message. I can't figure out what is causing it to break. Can anyone help?

Hi,

I see the same email by me on rare occasions, but it always seems to be ok on the next update, so my guess is that the server may be busy or something like that.
I'm not too worried about it...

  I too have not been generally worried about this either; I have been receiving these off and on since March and I thought it might be related to not upgrading. I upgraded because I was getting them every day.  Now that I have upgraded, I am still getting these every day.  what I am really concerned about is if the Spam files need that much updating and what on my end is blocking it.  I have thought of deleting all of it and starting over, but Knudsen's script does that for you, so I am still puzzled.  I just wondered if anyone else had similar problems and how they resolved them.

This continues to be a problem.  I tried to re-install spam assassin again yesterday and now my email is crashed.  I am neither sending or receiving. So, I guess I will manually un-install the spam assassin and if that doesn't work...I'll look for my 6.0.1 install CD.
