What DNS servers are being used by my SME?

What DNS servers are being used by my SME?

I'm trying to determine what DNS servers my SME is using for name resolution on the internet.

Whenever I do a dig, it always reports the server as the local machine.

because that IS your dns server.  The server is running tinydns and dnscache, basically making it a caching dns server.
