Topic: Multidrop mails not downloading

Hi all

Ok - let's cut to the chase:

Before you guys think i am complaining - I love sme.......

I am running sme 7.0 rc1.  We have a multidrop mailbox that was set to download every 5 mins.

I then found that the mail don't get downloaded (logging onto the isp's webmail) and since there is no way to force a mail poll, i manualy created a .fetchmailrc file (which allows me to run fetchmail -a -v)

I noticed that the sme server would start downloading a mail, and the stops in the middle of the mail!!!!  If i stop the download - move the mail out the inbox at the isp, and start the download again - it all downloads fine.  I then move the mail back to the inbox, and force a download again - the mail again stops in the middle.  If i then reboot the server (sme) and try again all is well.

Please guys i need an answer on this as my client is getting very upset.....

I don't have a solution for you, just a question:
A) do you mean one particular email won't download from your ISP to your SME ie it is the same one every time that the problem occurs with?

OR
B) do you mean it is the first email each time (different each time) that the problem occurs with?

If it is (A), then perhaps the problem is with the email....a corrupt file on the ISP? If so, try to read the email using webmail then print it and delete it (or copy it to a new email and forward it to the intended recipient)

Hi -

No it is not the same mail every time - if there are 5 emails, it might be any one of them (once the mails have been downloaded, all of them are deleted at the ISP)- and this is a recurring issue for the last month.

I hae various clients at the same ISP with various SME servers.

This is the only one it's happening to...

Did you warn your client that this is still not a final version and still has some bugs?

Speaking of bugs, you may have found another...Please report all problems to the bug tracker.
