Hello!
I am having problems getting my apple computers to connect to the SME server. Can someone give me some help to determine if it was an apple related update or the SME?
Situation:
I was able to connect to the server using Mac running OS9, OSX and Win98. I have user and groups set up. SME is running as private server and gateway.
Haven't used the SME for saving any files for a while. In the mean time I updated SME to 5.03 and Mac OSX 10.1.2. Win98 still connects. Mac OSX tries to connect. I get the logon screen, the connection is made, the disk icons come up on the desktop for an instant, then disappear and I get the following message.
"Disconnected
The file server "e-smith" connection has unexpectedly closed down"
Oh, another point. I can use ftp in the terminal program to connect to the SME using the Mac OSX and transfer files. I can also surf, collect external email etc.
Log files show that
Dec 20 14:03:14 SME atalk: atalkd startup succeeded
Dec 20 14:03:14 SME atalk: ^[[60G
Dec 20 14:03:27 SME atalk: papd startup succeeded
Dec 20 14:03:27 SME atalk: ^[[60G
Dec 20 14:03:27 SME atalk: afpd startup succeeded
Dec 20 14:03:27 SME atalk: ^[[60G
Dec 20 14:03:27 SME atalk:
Dec 20 14:03:27 SME rc: Starting atalk: succeeded
I'm not sure what this means ^[[60G ?
What steps should I take to trouble shoot?
Thanks in advance
