Got the server up and running. Now when the users go to their Outlook Express, everything is gone.  Messages, address book.. all of it.  I think a mutiny is brewing.

Didn't see anything applicable from a search.  Anyone seen this before?

What systems are you using?
Have you set up the users with roaming profiles?
What did you do with their OE on their PCs?
Have a look at http://tinyurl.com/z6wm2

Can't help you any further without more information.
Sorry

Hi,
SME 7 with Samba, XPpro SP2.  After the server-gateway was set up and users set up, the Outlook Express lost everything.  It's like it's a new install.

troykd,

This is NOT a SME issue.

The emails are not lost. When you set up the XP machines to log onto the domain you created a new profile in XP for each domain user.

The old user profiles are still in Documents and Settings.

You can copy the old profiles to the new profiles. There are plenty of articles on Google on how to copy profiles.

However to get the emails back you can use the import function of OE and import the emails from the OE data store on the old profile which will be located at

C:\Documents and Settings\old_username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
