Topic: network problems after restore from backup help!!!

can some please help me after i backup my sme 7pre4 or pre 3 server and restore the server after a fresh install the dhcp and network doenst work.
any help would be fantastic thanks

Log into the console as admin and check your configurations. In particular take notice of local and external ethernet drivers and configurations, particularly if you are restoring a backup onto different hardware.

It may also be as simple as having your local and external network cables swapped.

yep i think this is the problem as i have used a backup from another machine i will try to restore on same machine
