Please Help
I have a couple of issues, but the most puzzling and annoying at this time is that when an external user tries to connect to my web site they get a http 500 error
My setup is configured as a dial-in setup with dynamic addressing resolved via Dyndns.
All access to the Primary site functions perfectly well from an internal network and can be accessed using the dynamic IP address as well.
We tried tonight to access the site using the dynamic ip address only and that failed with a http 500 error.
The primary site has been overwritten by a generic index.html that just has text only.
?? is there some simply permissions issue i'm missing here.
I have searched the forums and find lots of messages dealing with cgi scripts and the primary bay.
?? is it easier to re-direct to another I-Bay than deal with the Primary.
All indications from reading posts here is the Primary web content should be visible externally as well as internal without doing anything.
am i missing something here
I admit i am a novice to Linux and e-smith, but i have a good understanding of networking and IP.
Myself and a friend who is a knoweledgable in Linux spent 3 hrs on this tonight and got no-where.
Cheers and thanks for any advice.
