Topic: bandwith with server and gateway mode vs server only mode

Would my home network notice any slowdowns if I were to set up everything into the server and gateway mode? as in, the internet came to the server, then to the hub.

I mean, would that be any slower than the current setup where the server is after the gateway, just like all of our other computers.

Depends on how your clients are connecting to the Internet atm and the quality of your internet connection etc. etc., using SME as a webcache may speed up web browing.

SME in server + gateway mode would also protect your network which it isn't doing sat on your network in server only mode.

Personally I would say put your SME in as your gateway.
