Network Problem!

Hello,
I have recently downloaded and installed sme server 5.0, i was very excited by the product. but my excitement went down when my installation was completed.

i m using D-LINK 538TX NIC (realtek 8139 Chip), sme server detects the card properly, after doing all the config, it just doesn't work. i have tried reinstalling intel ether pro 100 card, but the same thing again, i can not ping the server from any nod on my LAN, it say request time out.

at the time of booting all the services starts properly, but when i try to reboot the server i get an error msg at the time of shutting down the DHCPD service, what could be wrong? i have reinstalled SME more then 4 times and spent 3 days in doing this.

according to redhat and e-smith both the nics (8139 and intel 100pro) works fine without any modification, can some body give me some idea of possible problem?

I am using dedicated DSL connection having Static IP 202.149.xxx.xx2 subnet 255.255.255.252 gateway 202.149.xxx.xx1 and my internal IP add is class C 192.168.2.1 sub 255.255.255.0

Thanx
Shailesh

thi smay sound silly but are your cards swapped, or try swapping them (you can swap them during configuration)
