Won't shut down properly
« on: April 19, 2006, 03:49:34 PM »
Hi

I am using the latest version of 7.0rc1 on an old celeron500.

I am trying to set it up as a server gateway and have two NIC's in it.

I am having a problem in that what ever NIC I put in eth1 for the local network when I try and shutdown I get a message saying the NIC is remaining powered up waiting for wake-on-lan.

I have checked the bios and the WOL is disabled.

I am stuck. I've tried various different types of NIC wondering if it was the lan card that was the problem.

how can I deactivate this?

Anybody got any ideas?

Cheers
