Printer printing double width!

Hi,

I've recently setup a Canon BJC4310SP printer behind the E-Smith Server and have a little problem.

When using a generic driver (4200 Series) the printer works fine. When using the specific driver for the printer from Canon, it prints double width (graphics and text) and of course only half of it makes it on the page. The height is fine. This only happens when going via the e-smith server. Move the printer to lpt1 of my client pc (win98se) and the problem goes away. Move back to the generic driver and the problem goes away.

Has anyway come across this before?

I've reverted back to the generic driver which has less features unfortunately.
