USERDIR equivilent in 7.0rc2?

USERDIR equivilent in 7.0rc2?

I managed to get the apache USERDIR contrib working in 6.5 so users www sites were accessable via /~user

Anyone know how to get that working in 7.0 rc2?

Did you contact whoever last built the USERDIR contrib to ask them if they are going to rework the contrib for SME7?

If the original contributor is unable / unwilling to update the contrib perhaps you could take it on?
