Logrotate and updatedb are scheduled to run as cron jobs. Both of these programs run for hours and hours without completing and multiple instances run at once because the jobs get fired off every day. Of course, these jobs consume a lot of CPU time and severely slow the server. I can kill the jobs and stop them from running entirely, but there must be something I've done to cause these jobs to misbehave like this. Any ideas? Thanks.
