Topic: SME 5 Blades install

I have upgraded an 4.10 server to SME 5.0 and applied the version 2 and version 3 blades.

I had difficulty with the download of the blades but after 7 or so attempts each the manager reported they were installed.  I was not having difficulty accessing other web sites at the time and the errors appeared to be time outs on the ftp site.  I am assuming the site was under heavy load.

Once the version 2 blade showed as installed I downloaded the version 3 blade.  The admin panel now shows that the version 3 blade is installed but the version 2 blade is not.  Is this the normal behaviour ? and how can I confirm the updates were installed correctly.

A quick read of the Blade 3 release notes will give you your answer.

Since SMEServer-5.0_Update3 supercedes SMEServer-5.0_Update2, the blades panel will report that SMEServer-5.0Update2 is not installed after installing SMEServer-5.0_Update3. This is normal behaviour and does not indicate that the contents of Update2 are no longer present.
