Topic: System reboots from install disc.

I am trying to install SME 7 and the system does not do anything differant.
Install disc to boot
system starts
Boot from disc

Loading vmlinz.................................
Initrd.img........................................
Ready

Then it reboots again and again and again with the same things loading all the time.

any help would be great.

What Hardware you using?

AMD-K6 2/300
165 meg ram and a 20 gig drive

Is the K6 classed as an i586 or i686 if the former you need to do the following to install RC2, from the release notes:


"Installer built with i686 kernel. In order to install on i586 machines you will need to do the following:

1) Press shift while booting to get the boot menu.
2) Type "smei586" at the boot prompt. "
