Topic: Spamassassin whitelist

Hi,

I have searched in vain in these forums and in the documentation as to how to set up a whitelist within spamassassin. What is frustrating is that I know exactly how to do this for spamassassin on a non-SME server, but on the SME server it is not so straightforward as the files get overwritten every time an update is done.

I must assume you can use PICO, and a shell etc? You really need to share more details so others can help you.

 Delete the db in

/home/e-smith/db/spamassassin

  add to the whitelist/blacklist or subtract, use the EXACT spacing and capitalization shown below, use TEXT EDIT (or an editor which does not insert bogus line wraps) and place input on one line without wrapping...

/sbin/e-smith/db spamassassin setprop wbl.global foo@bar.com White foobar@bar.net Black *@*easymoney.net White    

  expand-template /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf

  svc -t /service/spamd

verify by looking at /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf


This again assume some level of proficiency navigating the system. Hope this helps.
