Topic: Email stuck in queue

SME7rc2 with yum updates.

Email has been working for about a month now.  Yesterday email stopped leaving the queue.  Incoming email is fine.
What is the file location of the email queue?

Trouble shooting steps to date.
Restarted qmail
restarted server
yum update
looked through the logs (not sure exactly where to look?)
SBC/ATT is the provider, they say port 25 is open but they have closed it on us before.

I doubt they would close port 25 outgoing else you'd never send mail to anyone via their mail servers. If they close port 25 incoming then you wouldn't receive a sausage. If some idiot sent a huge email (>10meg) then they normally send it more than once cos the other end didn't get it so that set of huge emails is bouncing back and forward between mail servers being rejected left right and centre. And they normally send them to multiple recipients which just escelates it.

Have a look at  http://www.pycs.net/lateral/stories/8.html and then check what is in the queue. You can also check the queue in server-manager under mail log file analysis / status of mail queue.

Is 111MB, 20MB, and 40MB email to large???  

Problem solved I manually removed the files from the queue.
/var/qmail/queue/mess/xx

Most mail servers accept mail up to 10meg. But even that is too big IMHO.
I don't know how to block large emails but :-

Most network / system admins I know started off with lots of patience, but almost all end up disabling accounts to get the message across in the end.
