I do no longer have access to Server-Manager (Nor to the Jinzora web interface)

I am running 7.0rc3 (upgraded from 7.0rc1)
I can access the server using Putty and internet access is OK.

Here is how I got where I am:
I had an internet access problem (resolved) While trouble shooting I changed the Proxy setting for HTTP to Off in Server Manager.
After things started working (Appearantly not realted to Proxy setting) I set the Proxy setting back to On. Server Manager gave an error message (usual text in red, I do not remeber the text) and died.
Rebooting did not bring it back up.

I installed Jinzora yesterday, this did not produce immidiate problems. The Jinzora Web interface is now no longer accesible either.

I tried this: (shot in the dark)
Code: [Select]

# /usr/sbin/apachectl restart
httpd not running, trying to start

Which did not resolve anything

Any hint as to how to troubleshoot/resolve this will be appriciated.

If this should be reported as a bug, please tell me so "gently". (I do not have enough confidence in my Linux skills, to automatically assume something is wrong with the soft if it does not work immidiatly.)

Pete

Persisto, it is hard to tell whether you have found a bug or not.  However, the Developpers really need to see anything not working at the moment,  because the software is not far from a final release.  So please lodge a bug report, it will do no harm. I am sure you will be treated "gently" by the Dev Team.  Cheers, chris

If it does not work out of the box, please fill in a Bug Report @ Bugzilla (http://bugs.contribs.org)  - check: http://wiki.contribs.org/Bugzilla_Help .  Thanks.

Did you have problems before installing Jinzora?

Did you install Jinzora using the Dungog contrib?

Did you change anything after installing Jinzora?

Is this really a Jinzora and/or misconfiguration problem rather than a problem with the base SMEServer?

Bug report made. (Thanks for the gentleness  )

I did not have problems before installing Jinzora, (I did not have problems after installing Jinzora either, just mentioned it to be complete.)

I did not use the dungog contrib.

Sometime after installing jinzora, I reset the Proxy setting (in SM) to what is was before.

I am almost sure it has nothing to do with Jinzora. (just mentioned it, as it is the only contrib installed.)

I have reinstalled the server, (not touching the Proxy settings this time.)

Thanks

Pete

Speaking only for this developer, I am not at all pleased with users who see error messages in red text and do not  pay attention to what they say.
