i already read it but i still cant conect from mysql front im getting error 2003 and i cant even conect from telnet to port 3306
please give me some direction

Is your port 3306 being forwarded properly to the SME Server?
You need to solve the port issue first.
How is your network layed out? Router?
Are you trying to connect from inside the lan? Outside the lan?
Did you open the ports on the SME server?
Just some things to try.

im using the sme on server only mode
do i need to open 3306port ?? how can i do that??
i can connect to all other ports from inside and outside my lan (110, 25, 22 ftp etc)
do i need to do someting especial for port 3306??
im lost please help me!!!

Have you done this: (From the post link listed above)
In a terminal window (command line) enter the following:
config setprop mysqld LocalNetworkingOnly no
signal-event post-upgrade
signal-event reboot
config set mysqld service access public status enabled TCPPort 3306
signal-event remoteaccess-update
signal-event reboot
If you have telnet, I assume you know how to SSH access your SME server.
