Topic: Remote access errors out!

I am TRYING to set up an i-bay to store my ebay images - which means turning Remote Access on. The problem is: every time I try to turn it on it errors out. I can't find ANYTHING either on the screen or in these forums to tell me what I am doing wrong.

PLEASE help - this was the reason I set up the server in the first place!!

Your question is rather unclear.

You set up ibays using server manager, you usually do not need to turn on remote access to set up an ibay.

Perhaps do you mean you are trying to access the server manager remotely to set up ibays ???

Well tell us what "it" is that you turn on ie what setting on what server manager panel etc, and also what "it" is that errors out, tell us the exact error message you receive after doing what.
We cannot possibly guess those things from what you have told us so far. We don't know what an "it" is.

Have you read the manual, as it may tell you what you actually should be doing.
You could also try searching on the error message you receive.

This problem was actually resolved by wiping out SME 6 and doing a fresh install of SME 7. Remote Access now works just fine.
