Topic: Broadcom 440x Driver NIC Issue

I installed SME 7.0 on a Dell Dimension 2400 with the on-board Broadcom NIC (440x). An ifconfig shows the interface is active, but when I try to ping the default gateway, I get destination unreachable. I have verified that other clients on the same network segment are working.

eth0 is using the b44 driver according to the configuration file

Any suggestions as to why I can't seem to pass traffic through this NIC?

I'd test the card with a BART boot CD where you can poke at the settings all you want before investigating the LINUX settings

Yeah... I managed to get it working using a Dlink NIC instead. Easier than fighting with the on-board one since they only cost $15.
