Thanks,

Colwyn

Tested most of the ones that are mentioned above by kruhm and the one that came through without competition is OneOrZero www.oneorzero.com which was suggested to me by another member on contribs.org - god bless him  :D

If you know a good PHP programmer or you're a programmer yourself this is the one as you can customise very easily.

It's a menu. So I can't really say one is better than another -just different.

In 1 scenerio, I setup PHPTICKETS because:
-a single user
-automatic prioritization
-immediate phone support was unlikely/not probable
-wanted tickets to be created by emailing an email address
-simple interface (open/closed)
-wanted a public way to create help tickets via a web page without a username/password

In another, I setup CERBERUS because:
-mulitple users in multiple departments
-abiltiy to assign a single task to mulitple people at the same time
-ability to scale as dept grew
-highly customizable dashboards per user
-needed due dates
-wanted a project that was supported (and continually developed) by someone so that the project wasn't left dead in the water (like so many good projects) to prevent having to find something else later on.

I haven't review most of the others in a long time.

my 2p would be to have a look at phpsupport.  It looks the best thus far and works really well, plus it has some nice features.  One or zero interface simply doesn't do it for me, although it will do the job as well!!

For bug tracking: http://www.mantisbugtracker.com/

Easy to install and very good functionality.

I didn't intend for this to be a comprehensive list but who knows. Maybe this will become the-official-unofficial-helpdesk-list-that-works-on-sme.

Added both to the list.

some projects havent' been updated in quite a long time. I would caution anyone testing for a production system to stick with only the projects that are supported/sponsored.
