Does anybody have  experience with a cheap raid controller (s-ata) there are supportet in Contribs or possible to install a drive to?

Experiences with most cheap raid controllers has been bad. Use standard non-raid controllers with the software RAID which the installer will enable automatically. Performance and reliability is good.
