PuTTy - behind Cisco Router
« on: August 09, 2006, 10:40:52 PM »
Have an SME Server behind a Cisco router (beyond my control).
I have VPN access to the Cisco.
When I establish a vpn connection to the cisco, I can not SSH to the Sme Server, unless I set secure shell settings to "entire internet".

Server is in Server Only Mode.

What I have noticed, is the cisco router assigns an I{ to the vpn client, that is a different network than the server. IE the server is 10.5.229.4, my vpn client IP is 10.5.51.1.

Is there something else I should be doing?
Or is it ok to have the SSH to entire Internet as long as server is behind the Cicso?
Thanks

ryan

Enter the VPN subnet used by the cisco in your local networks on SME.  All LAN subnets must be entered for SME to ackknowledge.
