Please report this in the Bugtracker please. BTW Your subject and content of your post suggests you have two issues:[list=1]
  • Your core not being up-to-date
  • The virus database not being up-to-date[/list:o]Is that the case?

Cactus thanks for your fast response.

I think the core is not uptodate

When i remove the *.cvd  files, the next freshclam command picks up these files.
main.cvd is up to date (version: 39, sigs: 58116, f-level: 8, builder: tkojm)
daily.cvd is up to date (version: 1649, sigs: 7081, f-level: 8, builder: ccordes)

Have found the following in bugzilla: http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1697.
But do not understand what they mean here.

Perhaps that someone has another solution.

Thanks

You are right about the core. From what I understand is that we just have to wait for a little while for it to be available (see also bug 1829 remark #2).

I have the same problem.  I have a newbie question.  Does this mean that my server will be picking up the new virus definitions?  How long before this will happen as bug tracker says it is fixed as of 0.88.3 several days ago and the latest is 0.88.4 and I'm still running with 0.88.2.  Sorry for my trivial question.

Just built a fresh version 7 server and noticed this same issue, I normally use the ClamAV from Knuddi's site, can I update this version with the updated RPM's he uses or has something changed??
