What I am trying to do is use the MySQL database instead of the DBM style of database which could take up lots of space on my computer so I need to use MySQL instead.

I would like to know how I can get it to work with MySQL.. PLEASE HELP

As for the perl/MySQL problem, a search of this board will reveal the solution such as in http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=19849.msg78151#msg78151. The rpms that works best seem to be from RedHat.
