power lost during raid set up
« on: July 18, 2007, 07:39:07 AM »
I was setting up a software raid-1 array in the admin console. The cord came loose before it was finished and the power was lost. when i rebooted the boot manager was intact and it looked like it might boot.  but it didn't  "hda2 i/o error"

so i have tried many things:

fsck /dev/hda2  --- "The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem"

Rescue mode on the sme disk. searches and never finds a sme install.

fdisk -l shows the two partitions as "Linux raid autodetect"

I was thinking i could some how change the mbr?

any suggestions?
