can SME 7 do a LDAP master server and another box running as LDAP slave?

just like MS AD server.

To be quite honest with you I dont see why not.

Im guessing you want the ldap server to do authentication correct?? of linux boxes or are you just using it for look ups?

Id walk through the following guide on maybe a test box and try to get this all working. Since its a Centos 4.3 build per se, I see NO reason why this shouldnt work -
