redirect emails not downloaded from my ISP?? **SOLVED**
« on: September 27, 2006, 05:37:35 AM »
I have an unusual problem.

SME server retrieves my email from my ISP using pop.

I have a mail account with another ISP that is forwarded to my mail ISP account.  The forwared emails appear at my main ISP and I can access them via my ISP's webmail.

They disappear along with all the other emails when SME server logs onto my ISP account and downloads all of the emails.  I have checked that it is not ending up in my SPAM folder at my ISP.

BUT they never seem to appear in SME.

I have checked all of my folders, and the admin account, and the junkmail folders.

I have looked at some of the log files but I cannot find any record of the emails anywhere.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Cheers Douglas. :D

Are you using the fetchmail contrib or the builtin multidrop feature ?

Here is the link to the contrib
http://www.schirrms.net/sme/SMEFetchMail.php

The contrib can collect from as many isp accounts that you have.

I use it on SME7 final with no problems.
Regards,
William

IF I give advise.. It's only if it was me....

Rather embarssingly I figured it out.  I had forgotten that I had a redirect to a mail account other than "admin" for all administrative emails and ones that didn't match the email account names, .
