I have a Dell poweredge 800 server running raid5 via 4 onboard SATA & 4 300gb drives.
It has been running fine for a couple of months - but the motherboard died last night (only 15 months old!).
Dell want a fortune for replacement so I thought I would replace with something cheaper (and more reliable) looks like a Supermicro P8SCT will fit in the case.
My main question is can I plug in my 4 drives in the new board and expect it all to work?
