SME 5.1.2 Upgrade problems
« on: February 07, 2002, 08:22:58 AM »
I've grabbed the new ISO released today and have attemtped to apply it as an upgrade to my existing 5.0.  I can get as far as the Accept screen but once I hit enter I get an error about the ks.cfg file missing.  Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks...

Did you check the MD5 checksum to ensure you did not get a corrupted download.

Well, after 3 seperate downloads and 3 seperate burns of the ISO I finally have an upgraded SME.  Now I have a new problem.  While all my user settings seem fine I am no longer able to FTP into the server or retrieve e-mail from it (as a result I don't even know if e-mailis making it into the box or if it's being bounced away).

Also, I was having a sporadic problem prior to the upgrade that seems to be more prevalent now.  It seems that after a while the server stops responding to outside requests.  As long as I am on the same network as my server I can access the web server but once I leave the 216.123 network I can no longer get HTTP access. At first I thought this was some DNS problem through my DNS service but if I simply reboot the server things work right for a while (except e-mail and FTP).

If anyone has any insight into these issues I'd be gratefull for the education.

Thanks.  Bye for now.
