Stephen, what needs to be done with your User Manager contribs to get them polished enough to be in the base?  Do you need people to do translations?

Are there bug reports open regarding adding each of those packages to the base? If not, please make them :-)

yes, some translations are needed, see table below

Quote

note, languages other than fr,de,es,it can be translated for your users

userpanel related rpm open_bugs_here

smeserver-userpanels
should be split password and forwarding are formagick panels
backup and useraccounts work but are the old style panels

Quote

smeserver-userpanel rpm     not FormMagick

smeserver-userpanels rpm
 - forwarding               fr, de, es*, it*
 - password                 fr, de, es, it
 - useraccounts/backup      not FormMagick

smeserver-vacation          fr, de,

smeserver-mailsorting       de,

smeserver-remoteuseraccess  fr*, de, es

if a language is shown the translation is finished
* means the translation is incomplete

download the rpms from the repository

either install and look in the locale dir
/etc/e-smith/locale/de/etc/e-smith/web/functions
/etc/e-smith/locale/en-us/etc/e-smith/web/functions
/etc/e-smith/locale/es/etc/e-smith/web/functions
/etc/e-smith/locale/fr/etc/e-smith/web/functions
/etc/e-smith/locale/it/etc/e-smith/web/functions

or open the noarch.rpm or src.rpm with http://www.7-zip.org/
to get the locale file

choose a source language make a copy and overtype the translations

Now that the server-manager has cookie based session login, I think it would be best to merge the user manager with the server manager somehow. You would need user identity based ACLs set up for the manager navigation and specific panels.

That would be a useful project for some else to take on
http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2455

either way the need for translation of panels is unaffected

Hi!

I'd like to translate this contrib to french. But I didn't find any file in /etc/e-smith/locale/fr/etc/e-smith/web/functions/ whose name is "userpanelaccess". Is this contrib translatable?

it could be useful to have a logout button in this contrib.
