Forwarding items marked [SPAM]
« on: March 10, 2007, 09:14:53 PM »
I am new to SME Server 7.0 and was wondering is there a way to forward the emails marked [SPAM] to another user.  We are using a POP 3 server and use outlook to download email, so my users do not use the webmail, so I would like to set the filters for the users - anything with [SPAM] in the subject line to forward to the Administration mailbox.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

There is no magic switch to make this happen. Getting this working depends on the type of user you are. Eventually you'll be able to do this since sme is highly customizable.

you have to customize the following file:
/etc/e-smith/templates-user/.qmail-junkmail/10deliver_to_junkmail

Did it work? I'm stuck with a problem simular lijke your's. I would like to forward the spam to an email adres, spam@domain. This because the server works as an spam/virus proxy. Het tags the spam fine, but now i want the tagged mail be transferd to a spambox.

Hope it worked for you!
