Topic: Installation HELP

Hi,
ive built my own webserver and im having a little problem with installation of sme server. i am using a usr5417 wireless card and sme detects it but it doesnt know what drive to use. where can i get drivers and directions for installing this new driver. i am new to linux so i need all the help i can get.

i tried to figure out how to use it but being farly new to linux i failed at getting it to work so i went to plan b. i have a windows 2003 server that conects the internet downstairs and routes it to the upstairs and its also a local domain controler and dns server(for local only). so i installed the sme server behind that server and it says its able to connect to the internet just fine but here comes my other problem. i have a subdomain i got from a friend. its ssnow.maxisgamer.net he said i should be able to set up sme server to use that. well i have that set at my primary domain but im unable to get anything to show up like its working. maybe im just doing doing something right. i would appreciate any help that i can get. yes i know i could probably use 2003 for the webserver but id rather use sme server. i havent installed anything but sme server i just poped the cd in and let it do its thing and followed the on screen directions. so any insight would be appreciate but please keep in mind im fairly new w/linux. ive messed around a lil on other version but im not real comfortable yet.

Somethings to remember..

SME 7 is based on Centos 4.3 which is based on the source of Redhat EL4 Update 3.

Adding to SME 7 is *similar* to adding to Centos 4.3

Redhat won't help you (you could try Oracle) but their documentation is great.

Centos forums will yield a wealth of information such as http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4817&forum=29&post_id=13968#forumpost13968 which points you in the same direction as the previous poster.

Read the developers manual to see how SME 7 differs to a stock Centos 4.3

Read the users manual also.
