Double EMails
« on: November 03, 2006, 08:05:09 PM »
Anyone had this on a 7.0 yum updated and RBL enabled ?

I sent from Squirrel Mail on my isp one email to the box addressed to
two local users. Firstly with both users in the To: field seperated by a semi-colon and secondly using To: and Cc:

In both cases both users get two identical emails ???

Anyone shed any light on this at all ?

Have a great weekend !

Here's one discussion: Receiving Duplicate emails

Also, I've described getting duplicate emails in this post: Denial of Service, poor hardware, or bad software settings?

The difference is in the "Received From..." headers of the received messages - the first problem would show that your SME server received the messages at the same time, the second problem shows the sending server delivering the message multiple times to the SME box at differing times - usually an hour or more apart.

Not sure I understand and am going round in circles looking at the bug tracker. Certainly no custom templates added but have enabled RBL checking etc as per howto.

Users affected have this in their .qmail

# sortspam disabled
# Forward not set
./Maildir/

as well as a file @.qmail-default but I think this is normal. One thing about this server is that it is a little under powered.

Have noticed that mail sent from the CLI to two other staff does not result in double mail ?
