dar2 - problem with full restore
« on: November 13, 2006, 01:48:40 PM »
I installed dar2 contrib and it looked very nice and promising when making backup!
But it seems i experience some problem (probably self-made).
When trying to restore an existing backup i found in the log  the next messages:

Quote
Nov 12 20:50:29 yrlasrv e-smith-bg: Extracting contents of the archive...
Nov 12 20:50:29 yrlasrv e-smith-bg: FATAL error, aborting operation
Nov 12 20:50:29 yrlasrv e-smith-bg: Badly formatted terminator, cannot extract catalogue location

Using rpm -Uvh i did install:

smeserver-dar2-0.0.1-0dmay.noarch.rpm
perl-CGI-FormMagick-0.92-08.noarch.rpm
dar-2.3.2-1.i386.rpm

on my sme7.rc2 (upgrade from sme6.5)

- then created backup job and made a backup to smbf at WinXP workstation.
- then i decided to upgrade to clean sme7 final.
- installed new bigger hard drives
- made clean install from scratch of Sme7 final
- installed again the dar-2.3.2-1
- created again backup job with the same parameters
- tried to made full restore as described in the dar-2 template
- have seen the messages in the log.

I would kindly appreciate an expert opinion.
Is this an erroneous behavior or do i made stupid error? Please advise.

best regards

As always, bug reports should only go to the Bug Tracker. Open a ticket and we'll troubelshoot it there.
