Email Duplication
« on: August 06, 2008, 10:28:47 AM »
Hi All

I have a strange problem which I can't figure out.

My setup is the following:

2x Windows XP (1x Home + 1x Pro)
1x SME Server 7.3 (provides email, dns, dhcp, webhosting - setup in server only-mode)

My problem started a few months ago and goes as follows:
1.) I can send and receive email fine
2.) I use IMAP to talk to the server for email from Outlook 2003 SP3
3.) When I send an email from any folder, the email gets sent but I also get a copy of the sent email back into the folder I either forwarded or replied from (ie: if I reply to an email from my "humour" folder, I get a copy of the reply email back into my "humour" folder but then person I sent the email to also gets the email).

My question is: does any one know why this is happening and how I go about fixing it. I can provide screenshots and log files if necessary.

Thanks

Do you have outlook sorting the mail into the different folders as it arrives? If not, I think this is an outlook issue. If the server was actually sending the e-mail back to you wouldn't it come back to the inbox instead of the subfolder?
