Topic: Help needed with Dansguardian addon group configuration

Hi all,

Please could someone help me out with a link, howto or tutorial, to get the dansguardian addon working. I am trying to use usergroups in SME to determine who can access what. I know I will have to edit the files manually (without the web panel), but I cant seem to figure out how to put it all together on SME, so I dont break anything.

PS. I am running SME 7.0 and have already installed the dansguardian addon.

Hi,

The usergroups I am referring to are those which I created for classifying my users.

I wish to prevent some groups from accessing the Internet (only intranet email), while others may access the Internet  to varying degrees (depending on group).

The files I referred to are the dansguardian configuration files, which are required to setup dansguardian and fine-tune it.

Search on pam auth, it may give you some clues.

I did search for pam auth, not much help. I know this is conveniently handled by the dungog web panels, however purchasing that right now is a little difficult, so I was wondering if maybe anyone knew how the web panels interact with SME, so I could follow the process manually and configure to meet my needs.
