SAIL Voicemail Issues

Perhaps I'm missing something easy...

First question: I have an office extension and a (remote) home-office extension.  However, I just want one voicemail message box.  How do I do this?  I tried setting the "mailbox=" setting in the home-office extension settings, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Second question: I have a Personal Ring Group (an alias with my office and my home-office extensions as members).  The ring group works fine.  The problem is that if I don't answer either extension, the caller is directed to the operator's voice mailbox...not mine.  How can I specify the proper voicemail mailbox when the dialed number is an alias?

Thanks in advance,

G

Hi sonoracomm,

I don't know about your first question but the amswer to your second question lies in the "outcome" setting in the alias, I am guessing that it is set to "leave voicemail"  this defaults to the operators ext, you can change the outcome to one of the exts in the alias and it will go to that voicemail (if you don't answer) or change the operators ext in globals to the one you want to receive voicemail on. There may be a better solution, but we need selintra to tell it to us :D  I hope this helps.

Regards,
Del

Hi Del,

Thanks.

I changed the outcome to the proper extension and the voicemail does now work properly.  I need to test further to see if it extends the ring delay...both phones are unregistered at the moment.

Thanks again,

G
