I have now installed it on a Dual amchine but in time move on to a opteron machine.This will be build by me so no manufactors have build it

Yes, assuming the motherboard/CPU combination is correctly detected by CentOS 4.4

You should always perform a CD upgrade or a backup/install/restore when changing CPUs.

Thanks for the reply now i will buy a motherborad and 2 280 Opteron,because i cant wait til AMD get the real 4Way opteron but can upgrade at a later time.I think this server will rock
