Topic: Hosed Webmail, How to Rebuild?

Folks -

In the process of trying to upgrade to 7.1, I somehow installed some things that broke my server - php was tryng to be 5.-something, apache had trouble running, my websites had mysql issues, etc. I guess I choose the wrong repository or something.

Anyway, I was able to get things almost back to normal, but now my webmail is busted. It says: "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /webmail on this server." when I try to log in. /var/log/httpd/error.log says:

[error] [client <my remote address>] client denied by server configuration: /home/httpd/html/horde/imp

even though webmail is enabled through server-manager.

When I do a /etc/init.d/httpd restart, it says, /etc/init.d/httpd restart, it says
Starting httpd: (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:443
no listening sockets available, shutting down

I would rather not wipe this machine just yet - how can I rebuild/restore my webmail?

Hey Mark,
if i remember correctly, just put the 7.1 cd in and do an upgrade.
During the install it should recognize the SME already on disc and upgrade accordingly.

Also, have you removed any of the custom rpm's that had been added?
Do you have any custom templates?
You can look at the rpm logs to see what has been installed.

Is there a way to restore the webmail without an upgrade? All of it works except webmail.

This is the error message i get when i access webmail.

I dont have a clue of what is to be done.

This also takes me to the administration screen for horde and then when i go to setup it shows me that nothing is setup.

It worked! I went to the server-manager, removed any software with imp or horde, reinstalled it, and my webmail is BACK! Boss_hog, you ARE the man! You really saved my bacon!
