Has anyone got sarg to report "denied" reports using the Dungog sarg? I'm using squidguard to filter and deny urls but when you run the sarg one-shot report it doesn't generate a denied report, in the /etc/sarg/sarg.conf I've made sure the report_type has denied set but it still doesnt make a difference.

Yes, mine shows all the denied pages if I look by the user/IP or if I go to the denied link page.
Code: [Select]
[root@sme ~]# rpm -qa | grep dans
smeserver-dansguardian-2.9-2
dungog-dansguardian-2.9-1
dansguardian-2.9.8-2
[root@sme ~]# rpm -qa | grep sarg
sarg-2.2.1-1.el4.rf
smeserver-sarg-1.4.1-3

Hi,

Do not modify sarg.conf as it's autogenerated by a template.

Mine is working too with no problems...
Here my rpms :
Code: [Select]
# rpm -qa | grep dans
smeserver-dansguardian-2.9-2
dansguardian-2.9.8-2
# rpm -qa | grep sarg
sarg-2.2.1-1.el4.rf
smeserver-sarg-2.2.1-2

If you are running dansguardian too, you may need this.

Thanks for the replies I use squidGuard which is similar to dans so it seems my problem lies with something to do with squidGuard.

Thanks again anyway. IU may test dans to see what settings they use
