Hy i would like to know what is the best way to reinstall sme. I have some problems with errors and i'll format my drives so i would like to know two things.

1.) How do i keep (backup) mysql data. I had some problems before with soma data not backing up (some strings that corrupted al my cms sites).

2.) How do i delete hostnames in Hostnames and addresses. I deleted ftp.sishell.net   Self   192.168.0.1 and it just keeps comnig back.

Thanks for your help
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!

If your disks are showing data errors, get your data off and buy some new ones. In my experience the first non-recoverable sector errors are harbingers of complete disk failure.

All MySQL databases are automatically backed up. Please provide details to the bug tracker.

Please report all issues to the bug tracker, and only there. Thanks.

I have problems with SME not disks. My monitor turns off, keyboard turns off and my internet connection dies. Ther are no error logs even if i see panic reported. I had some problems with my NIC and ram and i solved them. The only thing that could mess with the sistem now is it's OS. And as i said i'll reinstall it.

Well how do i back it up. Trough backup function? I opened the file and i can't find any sql backup in it.

This is not an issue. All the adresses are fixed and come back if i delete them, this includes (mail@domain, ftp, proxy, wpad,...).

If you use the backup from the server-manager, all MySQL databases are exported in text form to /home/e-smith/db/sql/ in the "pre-backup" event before the backup to tape or network runs. Those files are then backed up to tape or the network.

Please report it the bug tracker. If you delete things and they reappear, I consider it an issue/bug. Those convenience hostnames should be created when you create a domain, but shouldn't reappear when you delete them.
