Sorry for not being clear. I mean DNS resolution for the internet.
I want to be able to have a bunch of my domain names, for example:
www.a.comwww.b.comwww.c.com www.d.combe resolved to my static IP and DNS server at home. That DNS server will then send the traffic to one of two other web site servers depending on the domain name.
That is,
www.a.com and
www.b.com may go to server #1 and
www.c.com and
www.d.com may go to server #2.
So, there will be 3 servers total: one external DNS, two external website servers.
Also, I do not need any kind of local network internet access to the outside world, just web hosting for the outside world.
There must be "prepackaged" DNS management software avaiable for Linux that is as easy to use, setup, and manage like E-Smith? I've seen Netmax and other software for sale, but I am looking for any freely available solutions first.
Thanks,
Lee
ps. I am aware of the company:
www.mydomain.comSome domain name pointing or redirection capability like theirs would be work but is not real DNS. Plus I wouldn't be able to use IMP webmail on my E-smith box going that route.
