not sure if this post should go here, so if it should go in anothher direction just let me know
.
I recently upgraded a 6.0 server to 7.0 and had squidguard 3.2 installed - after the upgrade the machine is still filtering sited but it says it fails to restart when it is shut down and restarted during bootp. Also when you try to add content thru the management panel it displays you have not entered anything in the url or phrse box. would like to know either how to take it off and install dansguardian or any other suggestion - this is on a live production machine. Thanks for any thought you might have.

First to remove use the uninstall script provided with the squidguard3.2, then you can see this thread...
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=34337.0
Which JB has kindly made compatible with 7.0.

If I understand correctly all I have to do at a root loggin in the /sg3 directory is type "uninstall.sh"
just trying to be sure and ask before it has to be done all over again.
Thanks,
