Sail call parking and BLF

Has anyone has any success getting a lit up button on a Snom320 when a call is parked?

I have not had any luck finding out how I should be setting this up properly at both the phone end and the SME/SAIL end of things.

I currently have a function key on the phone doing a #*5# via DTMF which parks the call ok, I then have three extensions set up on the function keys with lights on the snom - 1000,1001,1002.  These work to retrieve the call ok too.

However when I park a call there is no indication that it is there on any of the phones.  I suspect the norm would be to have a button light up so you know where the call is.  As it stands now, the calls are in orbit but no one knows where they are without listening to the read back from asterisk when the call is parked.

Any direction appreciated.

Cheers,

Sean

Hi Sean

Good question. We were asked about this by a customer recently.  You should in theory be able to hint your park extensions through a custom App.  Also you can tranfer direct to a park using a normal SIP invite from the Snom (rather than doing an inband *5 - simply do a normal transfer to 1000, 1001, etc.).  The park BLF should then remain lit while the caller is in it.  So much for the theory - we never got 'round to actually setting it up;  but the transfer-direct-to-park does work.

Let us know how you get on and we'll try and find time to give it a go ourselves.

Kind Regards
