Topic: e-smith DNS and refreshing info

My question is where does the e-smith server get its DNS info and how often does it refresh that info.

A site I access recently changed its nameserver since its ISO went out of business.  If I set my e-smith server as the nameserver for my workstation, then my browser cannot resolve the web address.  If I set my ISP's nameserver as the nameserver for my workstation, then my browser can resolve the web address.

I am using SME 5.1 in server only mode, and the workstation runs Linux.  i assume SME 5.1 acts as a caching nameserver for  the local network.
