I haven't tried it on my machine. I haven't tried it period. I just like the looked of how the utility was configured through a simple text file. It does not seem to be as amibtious as LCDproc.
Looking through the install file and the website, there appears to be a driver created during complie time that allows the program to output to a X window (presumably for testing). Due to the fact that the e-smith box is missing the X libraries, I can only assume that is the problem. My recommedation would be to load up Redhat 7.0 w the 2.2.19 kernel on a another box and compile from there. Once the binaries are complete, move them over to the e-smith box.
I have wanted to try this myself for some time, but never have broken down and bought a display. Anyone want to send donations?
