Hello,
One of my customer have an old SME 5.6 installed on a old HP server...
Has this server is used as a web server it needs to be secured and so SME 5.6 can't do the job anymore, for security reason.
I did the 5.6 install years ago, install went fine... But today I have backed up everything and tried to install a brand new SME7U2. The problem is the installer telling me 'no hard drives detected'.
I suppect SME 7 doesn't have the correct driver for the Symbios Logic 53c895 SCSI controller.
I have looked on the net and found that page at linux.com:
http://www.linux.com/howtos/HP-HOWTO/hp-hardware.shtml#NCR53C8XXWhere it says driver is available but may not be bundled and the link to the driver download is just an empty directory:
ftp://ftp.tux.org/pub/roudierAnyway if I find the driver it will be its source isn't it? So how will I use it?
Anyone an answer to my problem?
Thanks all.
Best regards
