When I tried to upgrade my (perfectly working) system from SME 5.0 update 3 to 5.1.2 my computer crashed.
I have a Compaq with a Pentium 233 MHz, 96 MB SD-Ram, 3.2 GB IDE HD, internet cable connection for a home network with 3 computers
New installation.
During booting SME 5.1.2 from CD, I noticed two USB errors.
1) Not found usb.uhci and
2) Not mounted usb-devsf
I could however enter all the settings. Then SME writes these settings with the announcement this can take several minutes. When this was done, it cleared the screen and crashed. Normally SME starts all sort of programs but now nothing happens. After rebooting I had an unfixable error and the booting stops.
Upgrade.
I installed SME 5.0 with update 3 again (without a problem, no USB errors) and tried to upgrade to 5.1.2 and the computer crashed again. After rebooting my computer I had an unfixable error and the booting stops.
Now my network works with SME 5.0 again.
What can I do to fix this problem and install SME 5.1.2 ?
Does anyone had the same problems?
